I don’t have much time left but I have about seven months to get this band moving in the right direction, or I will return to the United States to rejoin my herd. It’s not easy going out on your own and leaving the safety net of your family and long-time friends, but that’s what I did to pursue my dream of performing standup comedy. I’m so glad I took the plunge into the performing arts because life was becoming monotonous without it, and now I’ve had all these experiences I never would have had otherwise. My hometown Heating and Air Conditioning company kept me in that section for many years, but in 2005, I decided that I didn’t want to be a heating technician for the rest of my life and left the industry to do comedy. I’ve since switched over to music and am pleased with what I’ve accomplished; I just need some more time to find my voice and write more songs. My bandmate is a cooling rep who is also leaving his job at the current corporation in the neighborhood to devote all of his time and energy to the music. He is currently residing in a nearby city but will be returning to this neighborhood so that my friend and I can practice more respectfully and make some progress. I’d like to return home soon to see Mom and sit by his fireplace while he prepares dinner for us, as well as hang out with my friend and stay warm in the climate-controlled home he lives in near the beach.
