My wife wants a dog, so I guess we’re buying a new HVAC

For the past several years my wife and I have been trying to have a child.

  • We both knew that we wanted to start a family right away, but our plans haven’t exactly worked out.

We’re not sure what the issue is but there are definitely infertility problems between the two of us. No matter what we do, we just can’t seem to make the magic happen. However, I didn’t think it was a good idea for us to replace our desired child with a dog. It’s too bad, because my wife apparently disagrees. For the past several months she’s been hounding me to get a dog to fill the void in our lives. The problem is, I have terrible indoor allergies and I responded very poorly to dog hair and dander. No matter how much I try to tell her that a dog will negatively impact my respiratory health which is going to further complicate our attempts to make a family, she insists that our good old central heating and cooling system can handle it. I know for a fact that our regular air filters and HVAC devices are not going to protect me from the respiratory distress that she’s trying to cause. Still, that hasn’t stopped her from putting a deposit down on a brand new puppy. As long as we’re getting a new dog, it looks like we’re also going to be purchasing new HVAC equipment. I’ve already called out our usual heating and cooling technician and asked for information on a high-tech air media purification system. If we constantly have the air purifier running with our HVAC system, perhaps it can filter out the dander that’s going to upset my respiratory tract. Short of installing all new air handling equipment, I don’t see how this dog-baby is going to work.
