Kids are cruel; I was “the Heating and Air Conditioning kid” all through highcollege

When people talk about the best years of their lives and all of the enjoyable experiences that they had growing up, I do not know how to relate. I simply didn’t have any experience like that. I grew up in a fairly wealthy and privileged area of town. Most of the youngsters that I attended college with belong to lawyers and doctors. Their families were seriously well-off and they were excited to show it. They always had the newest clothes, on the coolest gadgets, and the fastest cars. On the other hand, I came from a family of red-collar workers. My dad was a central heating and cooling professional for over 20 years. It was awful enough that he officially dropped me off for college in the heating and cooling toil trucks that he drove around to residential Heating and Air Conditioning service appointments each day. It was even worse that he was the personal heating and cooling professional for numerous of the families in town. A lot of the youngsters that I went to college with called my dad dirty and disgusting as he tried to service their forced air boilers and a/c units. They saw him crawling around under their property and he was often covered in grease from the broken Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. For my entire high college job, I was referred to as the Heating and Air Conditioning kid. Anytime there was an indoor air temperature problem at the college, all the people singled me out and started telling me to call my dad. Well, the joke is on them. Today I’m a professional Heating and Air Conditioning repairman making excellent cash at my task… and I refuse to service any of the wealthy homes on that side of town.
