I work at an interesting place in town.
It’s a craft brewery where we focus on extremely gourmet ingredients and specialized bruise.
It’s a pretty cool place to be, when the collective unconscious is right. When everyone is getting along around there, it’s a lot of fun. We get to share bottles and sample all sorts of expensive and limited quantity beers. We truly are spoiled. The thing is, we really need to bring in more revenue through our tasting room with interesting events and fun activities to draw the public in. We’ve been working pretty hard on attaining these goals, so recently they decided to host a play performance to draw in the public. It seems like a great idea… Until they told me when they scheduled the performance. Apparently, the first big day is going to be in the middle of December. Sure, we don’t live in a particularly cold climate. We don’t have an extremely brutally cold winter. We don’t normally have to contend with falling snow or ice. However, it still gets cold outside. People around here are not accustomed to the indoor or outdoor air temperature being lower than 80 degrees. When the outdoor temperature is hovering around 40, I don’t imagine that people are going to enjoy sitting outside and watching a performance. When I brought this up to the folks at work, they told me that they were renting some tall space heaters to put in the parking lot for the event. Supposedly, these outdoor heating sources are going to provide enough warm for the entire 20 car lot. I don’t believe that this heating plan is going to work, and I’m quite sure that this performance is going to be a failure.
