When we first moved into our new house we were unsure what to do with all of the bedrooms.
There were three official bedrooms and an additional room that could be used as another spare if we wanted. At first, we weren’t sure if we would use it as another guest room oh, so it sat vacant. After a few weeks, however, we decided it was time to try to build a home office in the extra room. We moved in all of our desks and computer equipment and set up a nice little work space in the room. Everything went pretty easily until the day that I actually tried to work in our new office. I immediately realized how ungodly uncomfortable it felt in that room. I never had spent much time in that space, because it was basically used for storage. Now that I was sitting there on a computer it was clear that the HVAC system was not operating appropriately. There is barely any fresh flowing air into the room. With the sun pounding into the windows, the room was getting hot and stagnant very quickly. I couldn’t figure out why there was no air conditioning passing into the space until I took a good look around. That’s when I realized there actually were no air vents in the entire room. I guess we had never noticed the lack of air vents with all of our belongings stored in this space. Now, it was quite clear that there was a major Heating and Cooling problem. I called outdoor HVAC technician and asked about extending the air ducts to operate in the new office. However, are HVAC repairman told us it was a better idea to install a mini split ductless heating and cooling system. The system was easy to install and affordable, so we proceeded with the cooling installation. With our air quality issue finally under our belts I can finally use our new home office.
