I’m not exactly what you would describe as a touchy type; I like my personal space whether my associate and I are in a conversation or in a romantic relationship. I am a fan of being alone and having plenty of room to myself. I am not genuinely the type who enjoys going to new locales or being in pressing crowds. I am easily not the sort to go to a gathering alone or engage in conversation with random strangers, and hell, half the time when I am at a gathering with my best friends I get overwhelmed and then leave without saying anything, and that’s why I, it was a bit overwhelming when I agreed to go to my new girlfriend’s family gathering and the Heating plus A/C system broke in the middle of dinner. It all started when someone asked if there was a draft coming in the house, however apparently, they were feeling uneven tepid and cold hot and cold temperatures at that end of the table and hypothesized that a window had been cracked someplace in the house. After that, my associate and I started noticing that the indoor temperature was declining minute by minute, then my girlfriend’s parents got up and examined the central temperature controls, only to find that the furnace was not responding to any temperature adjustments, and clearly, there was an issue with the furnace. It got colder and colder as my associate and I try to appreciate the rest of the evening gathered around a small wood burning fireplace, however we were basically cheek to cheek. There was no other opening because unfortunately, my associate and I were staying at her parents home that evening… Despite the close-quarters gathered around the fireplace with strangers, my associate and I could not leave the holiday festival to seek indoor air temperature control elsewhere, then by the time it was all said and done, I was ready for weeks of alone time at apartment with my working heating and cooling system.
