The town where I live is a funny locale.
It has a reputation for being a bit wild, and that stereotype is accurate. I don’t know if the heat makes people a bit batty, or if weirdos just tend to settle here. However, I can tell you that there has constantly some craziness going on within the perimeter. Everything is just a bit different here. That includes the housing market. It seems like the town was built faster than could be logically planned. The layout of the streets don’t make a lot of sense and much of the construction work is shoddy. I have been looking at a number of houses recently, and I have seen some shocking carpentry work. In one house everything was at a slight angle. In another house, the doors were too immense for the doorways. Most recently, I was in a home where it appeared as though they forgot to install the central heating and cooling system until it was too late… After the house was built, they came back through and attempted to install the central a/c devices. This strategy was not harshly effective. The first thing I noticed was the different localement of the air vents in the house. They seem to be nonsensically localed in only certain areas of the home. I asked the home inspector why any corporation would possibly put the air vents in these inconvenient locations. He simply shrugged and said air quality is often overlooked in this area. As long as people have an A/C unit, they don’t complain too much. I guess I am not like all the people else in this city.
