My husband and I have been married for over twenty years now, and I just cannot believe how quickly time flies by. I feel like it was yesterday that we said “I do” and were wed. We try to do something special each year for our anniversary, but it does not always happen. We had a whole, nice trip planned out last year, but in the last minutes there was an emergency at my husband’s job, and he had to work on the day of our anniversary. We were sort of bummed at first, but we decided to make up for it this year. We rented a beach house for an entire week. It was a private beach, so it would just be the two of us. We were so excited! We got to the house just to find out that there was no air conditioning. I did not even think to look at the website to see if the house had air conditioning. I just assumed that since it was in a warm climate, there would be air conditioning. We called the owner of the house up and asked him if he had any spare window units that we could use while we were staying at the house. He said that he did have one, but we had to pay an extra $150 to use it. My husband and I were appalled by his price, so we went and bought a window unit ourselves. We knew that we could use it in our bedroom once we got home, so it was definitely worth the money. We did not let our air conditioning issues ruin our trip. We had so much fun, and the one air conditioner kept the entire beach house cool.
