No AC in the jungle

Facing this struggle without even a simple fan to cool me down was a trying experience

I recently returned from a vacation in a tropical place with a humid climate. I did a lot of research before heading out on this adventure, however, I didn’t check to see if the cabin I would be staying in had air conditioning or not. I know that I was going to a warm place and thought that I would be able to quickly adjust to the climate, but I was wrong. I have never been hotter than I was when I arrived in this climate. In the region where I live, everyone has an air conditioner. Every house, every apartment, and business is equipped with a proper cooling system. This is what I am used to and didn’t think much about the struggle I would likely face when placed in a warm, humid climate with no air conditioner. Sleeping was nearly impossible. Being that hot with no air flow can really make you feel like you’re suffocating. At home, I sleep with the thermostat on at a very low temperature, and two fans that blow directly on my body. When the room is too hot, I am not able to fall asleep. Facing this struggle without even a simple fan to cool me down was a trying experience. Once I realized that I wouldn’t be sleeping the entire vacation, I opted for a change. I asked the lodging desk if they had any cabins that had any kind of cooling system, or at the very least, a fan. To my surprise, they offered to bring a fan to my cabin!
