Performing an HVAC Maintenance Checklist

Ever since middle school I always found that writing an agenda or a list was beneficial.

I like to be able to see what my day looks like planned out or what I need to get at the grocery store.

I like seeing it all laid out on a piece of paper. By writing things down I don’t forget things as much, especially when I’m shopping at the grocery store. Writing a list allows me to stick to what I need to buy and it prevents me from going outside of my budget. All of my family and friends call me the list girl because I have lists posted all on my fridge. I currently have one really important list that involves my HVAC system. This list is a checklist for my fall HVAC system. I like to writing things down that I need to maintain and check before I start using my furnace in the fall. This checklist involves clearing any debris or plants that may be near my condenser unit. I will also shut down my air conditioner unit by turning off the outdoor switch from the A/C accidentally being turned on inside. I have an asterisk next to this next important item on the list and this is to look for any combustible products that may be near the furnace that is in the basement. This can cause a serious problem with one’s home. I also like to inspect my air filter during the fall so it’s good to go before I need to replace it again in the spring. Lastly, I like to change the water panel from my home’s humidifier.
