Hearing a fan in my desktop

I am constantly busy everyday, whether it is going to toil or dropping my kids off at university, picking them up from university activities or driving them to their athletic interest practices, you could say that I am a really busy mom… Not to mention I am constantly busy on the PC for work, but a lot of my toil that I do from my office as well as apartment is from my desktop as well as my computer; Recently I was on my computer at apartment to do some extra toil since I did not finish the toil that I had to do at the office; I was on my computer for a few hours with several tabs open.

I was typing away, SMSing people as well as doing a lot of Excel sheets.

All of a sudden I heard my PC make a unusual noise. It sounded like a fan was kicking on. I did not realize that there was a fan in my computer. I googled it to see if it was a dire problem, and the sound of the fan just meant that my PC needed to be cooled down. When my PC reaches a certain temperature the fan will kick on to cool the internal temperature of my computer down. This sounded like my heating as well as cooling system in my home. When my temperature control reaches a certain temperature, my boiler or air conditioner will turn on. I thought that this was pretty cool how my computer had cooling needs by a fan as well as not through an extensive Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C system like my home.
