The previous owners had died, and their teenagers wanted to sell the apartment because they all lived abroad, and after settling in, he was eager to show me some of the creatures that came with the property. When I returned to the city and discovered my furnace was broken, I admit I was envious of his life. I left it off because I was gone for two weeks and didn’t want to leave the furnace running, but my house was frigid freezing and I needed it to heat up quickly, but as I was approaching the furnace, I heard some noises in my air vents, which caused me to stop immediately. It sounded like rats were running around. They must have moved in while I was gone because the furnace was turned off, and now I needed to hire an exterminator to get them out.
