My sibling & I are honestly different, he is the sort of man who prefers to do things for himself & he rarely hires experts for any job, but this is a habit he adopted from our Grandpa who was the OG for repairs & replacements! I remember when we’d go to visit Grandmother & Grandpa as kids, they always had a project going on, and grandpa would be tied up fixing the car, the tractor, or the barn.
He even did all the fencing around the farm, & my nice friend and I were so cheerful to help.
I guess my Grandpa & my sibling are quite similar, & they even look alike. He adopted some of these traits & is always tied up around his home fixing stuff. If I happen to mention I want to contact a plumber to come do some work in my house, I’ll see him at my door ready to tackle the issue. This has been going on for years, however there are some things I never let him touch. These are jobs better left to the professionals so they can be done in the right way… For instance, last Springtime I had to get a current roof installed in my house. This was a long overdue project that I had been saving for so I wanted the roofing installation done the right way. I contacted a Heating & Air Conditioning company in my section after learning nice reviews about them, & they sent roofing contractors to begin the roofing removal process, and after that, it took them many more mornings to do roofing installation, & I was so cheerful with the results. My sibling was livid when I finally told him I hired the roofing company for the job.
