Late last year, I visited my college friend Cassie who lives in the Southwestern part of the country with her family.
They live in a gorgeous home overlooking a lake.
One thing with living in that region, a lot of the properties have great landscapes. This was a new home for Cassie and her family, and this was my first visit. The new house was a lot nicer than her first house. In fact, it was a huge upgrade. Everything inside the new house was connected to a network, so it’s a smart home. From the lights to the refrigerator to the washer and dryer to the HVAC system it was all connected. And speaking of HVAC systems, they have one of those Smart nesting thermostats installed. I have been thinking about getting a Smart thermostat for my home, but I am yet to make the decision. But while I stayed with Cassie, I was able to get a first hand lesson about the thermostat and all it has to offer. And I was so impressed with all the features. They include features like remote access, where you can connect to the smart thermostat from anywhere in the world as long as I have an internet connection. Plus, it monitors the weather outside and adjusts the indoor temperature accordingly. Not to mention that it has a self-programming feature that programs itself based on the habits of the inhabitants of the home. One of my favorite features is the energy report which provides a report showing the monthly energy consumption, which will help to save money. After hearing about all the other features, I was sold and decided to invest in a Smart thermostat. I can’t wait to start seeing the money that it will save on my energy bill.
