My fiance Jason is consistently purchasing current gadgets, but and every time he buys something new, I ask him the reason behind his madness.
I don’t know that we need a gadget for everything, his justification is these gadgets will make life simpler.
Don’t get me wrong, some of his “toys” as I call them do help a lot, but for instance, I do adore the robot vacuum because it can honestly get to places that I would have a tough time vacuuming myself. So, that purchase was needed for that simple reason. Another purchase that he made that I doubted was the smart thermostat! My pal and I had been using a respected thermostat for so long that I didn’t see the need for an upgrade to a smart version. However, once I realized how beneficial the thermostat was, I was sold. In fact, it might just be my favorite gadget in our home, then not only does the thermostat regulate the indoor temperature, but it also monitors outdoor temperature & adjusts accordingly. Moreover, the thermostat can be accessed remotely from my iPhone as long as I am connected to Wi-Fi. It learns our behaviors & adjusts itself based on them. Additionally, it’s easy to use & it can also be used to schedule yearly maintenance. But best of all, the thermostat has saved us money on our energy bill. Once I saw the daily savings, I realized that in no time the thermostat would pay for itself. I am not going to like all the gadgets that my fiance will buy, but if he purchases more “toys” that will save us money then I will have no concerns with them.
