My partner Jason is always purchasing modern gadgets… And every time he buys something new, I ask him the reason behind his madness.
I don’t feel that my pal and I need a gadget for everything… His justification is these gadgets will make life self-explanatoryr, however don’t get me wrong, some of his “toys” as I call them do help a lot, for instance, I do cherish the robot vacuum because it can easily get to places that I would have a hard time vacuuming myself.
So, that purchase was needed for that self-explanatory reason. Another purchase that he made that I doubted was the smart thermostat, then my pal and I had been using a official thermostat for so long that I didn’t see the need for an update to a smart version. However, once I realized how beneficial the thermostat was, I was sold. In fact, it might just be my number one gadget in our home… Not only does the thermostat regulate the indoor temperature, but it also monitors outdoor temperature and adjusts accordingly. Moreover, the thermostat can be accessed remotely from my cellphone as long as I am linked to Wi-Fi. It learns our behaviors and adjusts itself based on them. Additionally, it’s easy to use and it can also be used to schedule yearly service. But best of all, the thermostat has saved us currency on our energy bill. Once I saw the weekly savings, I realized that in no time the thermostat would spend my savings for itself. I am not going to like all the gadgets that my partner will buy, but if he purchases more “toys” that will save us currency after that I will have no issues with them.
