My fiance plus I don’t make the same amount of money.
My friend and I are pretty close when it comes to funds although I would say he makes 30 grand more than me per year, so I feel that extra change should be factored in when it comes to the bills, however i didn’t feel my buddy and I should split the mortgage, groceries, gas, water plus electricity 50/50.
My friend and I had to hash it out quite a bit to get a system that works. My friend and I were cheerful for quite a while; Recently my fiance was talking about major updates to the home; What happens when the Heating and A/C goes? Do my buddy and I split that down the middle? What about the roof? My fiance is all upset about our modern spray foam roof, however they say it lasts 20 years, then our roof is 19 years old currently. It is in superb shape. I don’t feel that in a year abruptly our roof is going to leak. My fiance is upset that it will need to be fully updated plus cost us several thousands, however he is talking about a 50/50 split. I personally don’t care if my buddy and I get a modern roof. If it leaks, let us get a spray foam roof repair. If he is too upset about it now, call for spray foam roof repair. I want to limp the roof as far as it can go. My fiance is all eager to get it fixed up ASAP! No matter what, I am not splitting that cost right down the middle. He needs to shell out more for it.
