My son's persuasive argument in favor of a smart thermostat

He made such a strong case for having the smart thermostat because he was so knowledgeable about them.

I understood I had a bright child. But before he left for college, man, he sure was a pill. The child was just so distinctive. He used to be constantly studying, so I couldn’t make him leave the central air conditioning. But as soon as he had secured the scholarships and his admission to the college, he was already checked out at home. It appeared as if he established his own rules, or at least believed he did. I didn’t mean to snuff out any well-deserved confidence, but he had to follow our rules if he wanted to stay in our home’s central air conditioning. He did, and we more than enjoyed his senior year. But as soon as my son was enrolled at his preferred school and moved into a dorm with radiant heating, he simply took off. It seems as if he discovered his passion and had the freedom to follow it without limits. He was just killing it with his grades, so that’s where all the intelligence came from. Now a sophomore, he taught me about HVAC technology while he was home for winter break. And as a result, I acquired some HVAC technology that ought to significantly lower my summer air conditioning expenses. When it came to the smart thermostat, my son broke it down for me. He made such a strong case for having the smart thermostat because he was so knowledgeable about them. So much so that I made a call to the HVAC company to install that smart thermostat. I haven’t seen what this thing can do yet because we don’t need much heating. But all that air conditioning will be gone come summer. My kid is my bet, and if he wins, I’ll save a ton of money.
