So I did something stupid, something my love told me that I shouldn’t do, and I got pretty badly hurt because I didn’t listen.
What a stupid thing that I did, I went and I tried to repair our HVAC unit.
I know, I feel it’s a really bad idea and I shouldn’t have done it. When it comes to cooling systems, apparently it should be left to the people who know. However, I didn’t want to wait to have a heating expert come out here for many reasons. It is costly to have a heating, ventilation and A/C unit fixed, and the second reason I didn’t want to have a heating and cooling worker come out here was because the local businesses were all booked up and I knew it would be at least ten weeks before I’d be able to get someone out here. So I decided it would be great for me to try to do it myself. I told my wife about my plan, but she didn’t want me to do it, but I was confident in my abilities. I had zero heating and AC training whatsoever, and I didn’t bother to study or research like I should have, and in my mind it was the correct way. Really, I was fortunate that I didn’t permanently wreck our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system by attempting this. Although I did manage to zap myself, it was enough to tell me that I had no idea whatsoever of what I was doing. I think I’ll just go and call the pro and wait for her to do it right.
