I purchased a lake house that had giant, vaulted ceilings, it had wooden beams & in between them a popcorn ceiling.
I hated that look.
I ended up getting a super tall ladder, pole & scrapper. I scraped all the popcorn, mudded & sanded. I then painted it colorless in between the wood beams. I look so much better, then you absolutely get to suppose a lake house when you are way up in the air. I found some water destruction in the skylight & that the beams needed another coat of varnish. I also noticed that the vent opening to the room wasn’t right, but whoever cut for the vet didn’t do it straight! Only half of the air duct was exposed in the opening, and that meant that only a portion of the AC was getting out of that room… Combine that idea with such tall ceilings, it made sense why that room was so hot. I figured I could just cut the hole larger, although I decided to call for air duct services. The girl was absolutely nice & friendly, but she was appalled at how she set up the air duct. She opened up the hole for the vent opening to make sure everything was straight. She also took a peek inside the ducts to see if air duct sealing or cleaning was needed. She did a quick clean & the locale was fine as new, however my vaulted ceiling room was finally super cold with the full amount of AC coming in. I love knowing that the air duct is all clean & airtight as well. I am absolutely cheerful that I call for air duct services rather than do it on our own.
