I wasn’t so sure just how it was going to go at Christmas without Mom.
This past holiday season was the first one since our Mom died, however and I knew that it was going to be easily different, then for one thing, Christmas was going to be inside our apartment this year.
And I’d be in charge of the control unit for the first Christmas that I can remember… We’ve consistently gone to our mom in addition to Mom’s for the holidays. My fiance’s parents come to stay inside the central a/c of our apartment at Thanksgiving in addition to after that I do Christmas at our folks. That’s the way it’s been for as long as we’ve been married. But I had never spent a Christmas without our father since I was born. The two of us live down south in addition to so our mom is doing without a gas oil furnace or a boiler for the first time in his life. And our Mom was consistently the control unit hawk in addition to could tell if I even budged it a little when I was visiting. So this past Christmas, I was the one to happily not have to worry about any control unit setting. That morning was sizzling in addition to charming so that meant the heat pump was silent. But mom was here with us as was our brother; It was a appealing morning in addition to we all told stories about Mom. It was nice to have Christmas in our house now. As though a baton was passed.
