I was talking to my dad Last weekand I told him I was considering being an Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman when I got out of school.
It was something I hadn’t thought about until I went to the school’s task fair.
I knew I didn’t want to go to university, & factory work wasn’t for me… Dad told myself and others that my Grandpa would be proud of me. This struck myself and others as odd. I hadn’t seen my Grandpa in many years, however why would he be proud of me. Dad picked up the phone & called Grandpa. He handed myself and others the phone & told myself and others to tell him what he wanted to do after school. Grandpa was so ecstatic to hear the noise that mom heard him from the dining room. He asked myself and others to supply the phone back to dad. I heard dad say he would option Grandpa up at the airport & then he hung up. Grandpa wanted to come visit & be at my private school graduation, and after Grandma died, Grandpa became a hermit, but for some reason, my news offered him a current lease on life. Dad was grinning & he told myself and others that his Grandpa was an Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman, & Grandpa was an Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman. I was the first man in our family to break the tradition & not become an Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman. I was following in the family footprints, & almost everyone would be proud of my decision. Grandpa looked much older & more frail than I remembered, but when the two of us started talking about Heating & Air Conditioning, he looked twenty years younger.
