I’m so thankful that the two of us chose to go through with the system to trade the gas oil furnace for the heat pump plus move south, and this had been the system for a long time, but my partner plus I were even looking at properties down here years before I retired, but as with any huge life change, there can be some freezing feet involved.
That was particularly the case when our partner plus I finally retired.
The people I was with and I knew that was going to be a huge effort to get the beach house in superb enough shape to get it on the market. That meant replaces to the residential Heating plus A/C unit along with a near total kitchen renovation, however initially, the two of us easily dragged our feet because the two of us just did not want to get into all of that! Plus once the two of us sold the house, there easily was no turning back for our system to move to the south. Thankfully, things just started falling into place plus the two of us ended up getting all those renovations done plus then the beach house sold almost instantly. The people I was with and I made so much currency off of that beach house that we are still sort of shocked, then and at that point, there easily was no turning back plus I am glad the two of us followed through. I am so thankful to be spending this Wintertide in short sleeves with our face in the sun. There’s no more snow, ice or gas oil furnace where the two of us live. I don’t guess the heat pump is even kicked on once to knock the chill out of the house. I am genuinely gratified with our decision to move down here plus I’ll trade a gas oil furnace for a heat pump every time.
