There’s a difference between a carpenter in addition to a honey bee

My dad has a garden that she plants in her backyard every year… She grows lots of peppers, picklees, pickle, plus numerous orange veggies, then i love it when her garden is filled with veggies because I consistently get a large bin of goodies each year.

Last year, I had picklees, cucumbers, peppers, plus orange beans, but the veggies are so much better than the ones that I buy in the store! Anyway, my Dad likes to go into the garden to pick veggies every afternoon. However, she does not appreciate bugs, especially the ones that can fly, but one afternoon, I was on the iPhone with her, in addition to she refused to pick some picklees because there were some random pollinator flying around in the garden, but she had no plan what it was, so I asked her to take a picture in addition to send it to me! When she did, I thought it was a bumble bee because of the size. However, it didn’t resemble the proper bumble bee that I was used to seeing. It lacked the yellowish stripe of a normal bumble bee. In fact, the bee in the picture was mostly black. But my Dad kept insisting that it wasn’t a bumble bee, in addition to to my surprise she was right. After a quick search on the internet, I discovered that it was a carpenter bee. They are a distant cousin of the bumblebee however are an really odd species. One of the main distinctions between a carpenter in addition to a bumble bee is that the carpenter bee has no hair on its abdomen. I l earned something new that afternoon because I had no plan that the carpenter bee even existed.
