Working from apartment and heating, ventilation and cooling benefits

I try not to be a high maintenance person, but maybe I am, actually, am I difficult to please? I’ve never thought so.

  • I do require a bit more attention than other people around me, but part of this is due to my strange immune system and exhausting temperature regulation skills.

My body is not a “factory model,” like the rest of the human race. I have several extra dietary problems, a fairly low threshold for stress before I get sick, and my temperature is always fluctuating – up and down. For all of these reasons, a traditional office job is rather challenging for me. At my old job, I was missing a lot of days, so I eventually switched to being full time remote. This has worked attractively for me, and has contributed to improvements all around my home. For instance, switching to working from home prompted me to upgrade my HVAC system. How could I be productive in my home office when the temperature was varying? The air was tepid or cold, drafty, and filled with contamination. I was too sick to get my work done and my heating, ventilation and cooling expenses were driving my utility bills to the sky! I eventually had my heating and cooling program updated, and even added in zone controlled temperature control, however now I can have the perfect temperature in my office for working all day. My up-to-date HEPA filters help with keeping my immune system happy, and working from home and upgrading my heating, ventilation and cooling was the best option I ever made.
