Managing the HVAC company as a fill-in for my boss

My boss started the HVAC company in his mid-twenties.

It has gradually grown into a mid-sized company doing very well in helping with indoor comfort in the community.

I joined him nine years ago, and together, we have improved the company’s functions and equipped the HVAC professionals with excellent skills to provide outstanding home services to our customers. My boss was unwell and decided to take a much-needed vacation and rest. He left me to run this at the company. Spring is one of the busiest times for any such company. Homeowners know that this is the best time to replace their HVAC units or carry out HVAC maintenance so that the unit is ready for summer. We get many customer requests for different products and services. With the company that busy, I would be overwhelmed were it not for the cooperation and initiative of the HVAC technicians. They made work seamless for them and me. One of the reasons this firm has become successful is teamwork. While analyzing reports for the first few weeks of spring, I established that products such as air purification systems were in high demand. The reason for this was the increased demand for air quality during the pollen season when there were many allergic reactions. As expected, tune-up jobs were also high, with duct cleaning and air filter changing being the highest. The local contractors reported redoing the ductwork for many homeowners with air quality systems. Sometimes the summer heat will damage the sealant used for the vents. All in all, we still managed to meet and surpass our targets. When my boss returned from his leave, work had died down a little, but the company operations were top-notch.
