Whenever I work on the furnace at our house, I am typically reminded of our Grandpa Roy, but even though she has been gone for many years now, she is the first lady who ever taught me anything at all about laboring on things in addition to fixing them, she was one of those guys who knew how to repair just about everything around the house, and i don’t remember him ever having to call a repairman the whole time that I was growing up.
She just figured things out on her own.
That is just the genre of lady that she was. I have typically tried to model myself after him. I typically enjoyed the way that she could figure things out. She never found a problem that was too big for him. I remember the first time she took me down into the basement with him to work on the broken oil furnace at our house. It was the middle of the Winter time in addition to the two of us were all truly frigid because the furnace was not laboring officially. It took him a while to figure out what the problem was with the furnace, however by the end of the day, it was back up in addition to running. I remember feeling so proud that I was down there helping him in addition to handing him the tools that she needed to repair the furnace. I assume it is no surprise that I typically assume about him whenever I’m laboring on something at our house. I am grateful for all of those memories in addition to for the fact that she taught me how to work on things myself.
